How long have you been in business?
I have been planning events for over fifteen years.
Where are you located?
The Events by Emma Corporation is located in St. Boniface industrial park (just off of Dugald road)141-143 De Baets Street, Winnipeg, MB – Consultations and Showroom viewing by appointment only.
How many weddings to you do per year?
Each year varies depending on the scope of the weddings for the season, we have decided to take on less weddings to give more attention to our clients and ensure their events are truly special, but typically 20 – 40 weddings each year in addition to our corporate, non-profit and private clients.
What is your businesses “mission statement”?
Our mission is to understand our clients vision and needs and introduce professional and experienced consultation combined with creative and fresh ideas ultimately turning their concepts into realities.
What is your favourite thing about what you do?
I love what I do! I can’t wait to get started each day! I love working the amazing and dynamic team that I have and I love each and every one of my clients. Their needs and wishes are so unique and I really strive to meet all of their expectations and deliver one-of-a-kind events each and every time. I love seeing an event vision and plan come to life.
What is something neat and/or surprising about about what you do behind the scenes?
Well, how about the fact that I work 12-14 hours a day. Event Planning is not as glamorous as it seems and pretty thankless, however nothing beats seeing the event come to life and hearing your clients reactions to the event as it unfolds. We specialize in full-service event management and work with our clients hands-on from start to finish of the planning and design process of their event.
What has been your favourite Wedding to date and why?
Wow, this is a hard question because I love all of our weddings .. .they are all so different. But I would have to say I love the theme weddings we do. It really stretches myself and my team to be unique and come up with innovative ways to convey the theme, but still maintaining quality and caliber that you expect from an EBE event.
What are you most excited about for this Wedding season?
Well, we have some exciting new clients and we have some amazing and challenging plans for their events. Each year we push ourselves to go beyond what we did the season before, push our limits and really set our events apart from all other events. We strive to continue to raise the bar for weddings in Winnipeg.
Your best advice to your couples getting married in the planning process?
Go with your gut, communicate with each other and your consultant, and most of all have fun! You only get to do this once.
What set’s you apart from all your fellow vendors? What is unique to you?
Our commitment and investment in our clients. We truly develop lasting and strong relationships with all of our clients and we truly want their events to be special, unique and flawless from start to finish. It’s this relationship that we pride ourselves in and we believe that our finished product is like no one else. We try to infuse a special bit of EBE into every event we produce.
What’s your funniest story (that you can share)?
There are so many….. our team has so much fun together, despite the loss of sleep on many occasions we still know how to laugh and support each other.
