Every new year I consider adding a new piece of equipment or lens to my camera bag for weddings... I have had my eye on the Canon 35mm 1.4 for years. I had even rented it plenty because it is such a beautiful lens to work with:) Around the time I was about to buy it... a camera model called the Fuji x100s was released. I was immediately interested and the timing was perfect... the reviews for it were buzzing online and I happened to call Don's Photo when they just got one in. To this day it is near impossible to get:) I only bought it because Don's allows returns within 30-days.
Well... needless to say, I fell in love and the Fuji x100s is definitely party of the Moore family now:) The camera is awesome! I know, not much of a detailed review but I will leave that to the photographers that like to review all this technical stuff. In general, the body is very cool to look at... yes, it's a sexy camera. Every wedding so far, many guests have walked up and asked... "are you shooting film". For me, I use it as a 35mm lens that can capture great moments with no sound. It shoots fast, focus system is rad, and the final image is stunning.
So here is a collection of my first "test" images with the family... enjoy!
