Your Costs

How do we book you?
We can meet in person at my studio, chat on the phone, Skype or email. Then you’ll sign up with a $1000 non-refundable retainer to hold your date. Everything including signing the contract is done online in your own safe and secure wedding account. Checks, plastics and papers are fine.
What is your payment schedule like? Do you have payment plans?
A $1000 non-refundable retainer is due at booking, 50% of the remainder is due 30 days before the wedding and the final payment is due on your wedding day. Taxes are separated into the final two payments. Additional custom payment plans are available upon request.
Can you hold our date for us?
I can not guarantee your wedding date until the booking retainer has been payed and the contract is signed. If you are the first to contact me for a date, you will have 48 hours preference to book if another couple expresses interest to book that same date.
If our wedding is cancelled, can we have our retainer back?
Unfortunately no. The retainer and all monies paid are non-refundable. Once you have paid your retainer and signed your contract, I will turn down all other bookings for that date.

My Business

Can we keep the high-resolution negatives?
A USB drive or digital download of your finished high-resolution digital files can be purchased at anytime. You will be able to print these photos at any size and I will provide a list of quality print locations for your reference. I will retain rights over the images for studio and commercial use. This only includes the photographers finished photos and not the original RAW images.
What type of photography do you do?
I am a professional Wedding Photographer… meaning I specialize in weddings and wedding photography year round. I have a journalistic style but do not limit myself to specific genres of photography. It is my responsibility to make you feel comfortable and confident during our time together, and I take that responsibility very seriously. The last thing you should be worried about on your wedding day is the photography – that’s the fun part, and I’ll make it so! Whether you are boisterous or quiet, or somewhere in between, my images will reflect the best parts of your true personality. I’ll anticipate beautiful moments, pay attention to the details, and leave you with photographs you’ll be proud of for decades.
How do you describe your style?
I but do not limit myself to a specific genre. You can throw a million buzz words in the mix to describe my photography but I am a story teller first and foremost. It can range from photo journalistic, fashion and editorial. I have a relaxed and comfortable approach to photographing my clients. It is my specialty to bring out and capture my couples true personality. Modern, dramatic, emotional and timeless… I love what I do.
Will our images be stored safely for backup? For how long?
Very much so. Your images will be safely stored in six different and separate on and off-site storage locations. Your images are safe from crashes, fire, robbery and anything else that could possibly happen. Because of the fast growth in storage size, your images will be stored safely forever.
Can I order professional prints from you?
Yes. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere on earth. Your online proofing gallery can do that.
Do you touch up the photos?
Not much, but I do make minor colour corrections and clear up any unwelcome blemishes. Your photos will look vibrant and timeless.
Colour or black & white?
Both. A few of your photos will only be offered in black & white.

Your Wedding

Does an assistant photographer work with you?
Yes. I have a great team of assistant/second shooters working with me. My base coverage only includes myself and every other package includes a second photographer.
What if you are very sick, injured or die before my wedding date?
Ouch… what a dismal thought. I probably will not make the wedding if I am dead. An experienced professional photographer will replace me and photograph your wedding if any severe terrible accident or sickness occurs and I am unable to attend.
Do you have backup equipment?
Yes. Wedding photography is different than any other field of photography. There are no second chances or room for error. I have trusty backup equipment for my backup equipment ready at all times.
Can our friends and family take photos at the wedding? Will that distract you?
Of course. Let them take photos… mine will be much better. I am ready and experienced in dealing with any distractions that could occur during an important moment or time of your day. Although… feel free to tell Uncle Bob to put his camera down and enjoy the wedding.
What will we do if bad weather happens on the wedding day?
We will be prepared with a suitable indoor backup location due to terrible weather far before the wedding day.
How long will we wait to see our photos?
Not long. Sneak peeks will be available right after the wedding; you will get to view them all online within three weeks after the wedding.


How are your albums made?
Constructing a single album involves more than sixty steps, with twenty or more specialists performing colour correction, design, quality control, printing, and binding – all by hand, using advanced digital processes and printing technologies. Every book comes with a lifetime guarantee, along with a personal promise that it will be among your most prized family heirlooms.
How are we involved?
Your album layout design will be sent to you using a intuitive online design program. You will make request changes online and I will complete them to your liking. You will approve your final design for printing.
How long will we wait to see our album(s)?
You will receive your album design two weeks after your wedding and you will receive your album 8 to 10 weeks after it is ordered.


Why should we have an engagement session?
Because you will love it. It is great practice for you two in front of the camera, we will get to know what to expect from each other, after you see the photos you will be even more pumped for your wedding, and you can use your engagement photos for save the date cards, invitations or a custom guest signing book.
How do we choose a location and what should we wear?
You will fill out a questionnaire that will help me help you determine the perfect location or locations that suits the two of you. I will also offer you tips when it comes to what you should wear.
Will you travel for our session?
Yes… I would love to.
Do you offer guestbooks that include photos from our session?
Yes. A very nice hand build leather bound album that includes choice photos from your session with plenty of room for your guests to sign.


Will you travel for our wedding?
Yes. Anywhere on this green earth.
What is your pricing for travel and destination weddings?
My pricing will vary on the location and your specific coverage needs. My destination pricing is similar to my regular wedding pricing plus travel & accommodations. Your investment could range from $3000 and up.
Do you travel with an assistant?
If an assistant is needed, I will provide one for an additional travel and accommodation fee. For many instances, I will be capable to handle the coverage on my own.


What is the photo booth and how much does it cost?
It is a second party for your reception. It is a portable booth where you, your friends, your family and all your guests can have fun and take some unforgettable photos of themselves on your wedding day. Your guests will absolutely love it and you will have great keepsakes of everyone from your wedding. It is an additional $500 and is included in some of my packages.
When is it setup and where?
I will find a place close to the bar or dance floor and it will be setup for use right after the first dance during your reception.
Can guests order professional prints without involving us?
Yes. Your online gallery is awesome that way.
