Shayne & Jake’s beautiful gay wedding in Winnipeg was a day filled with love, pride, and pure joy. For me, this was an especially meaningful experience—my first LGBTQ+ wedding, and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to capture. From the moment they told me, “No bride, just pride… wooooooo!” I knew this was going to be a celebration to remember! 🌈✨
The day started with an intimate first look at the Four-Points Sheraton, where Shayne & Jake had a quiet moment together before heading to the stunning University of Manitoba for their ceremony. They chose to hold their vows at the Indigenous Student Centre on campus—an especially meaningful place since Jake is Indigenous. It was a perfect choice, adding so much personal significance to their day.
The winter sun provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding portraits, and the energy of their friends and family made every moment even more special. After a heartfelt ceremony, they celebrated the night away at their reception, surrounded by love and laughter.
I’m beyond grateful to have been part of this unforgettable wedding, and if you’re looking for more LGBTQ+ wedding inspiration, check out my inclusive wedding photography page.
Thank you, Shayne & Jake, for trusting me to capture your story! 🏳️🌈💍✨
