My first wedding in my most favourite city in the world… New York City! Sorry to all the other cities… I love you too, LOL! NYC will always be #1 for me, I basically grew up there. Well not physically, but in the Movies and TV that I grew up watching, of course;)
Before I keep talking about myself, this is Brit & John’s amazing NYC wedding, LOL! What an experience and I can’t thank them enough. Brit found me through a photo that won me a Junebug Photographer of the Year award last year… I was lucky. We met on Skype first and then travelled to NYC in the spring for their engagement session. Finally, Fall arrived and we were off to New York City. We stayed in the most authentic NYC apartment in East Harlem and toured the city for a week… I’ll never forget this trip!
Then the wedding day came… it was perfect and so full of love. Getting ready and getting around in NYC on a busy Saturday wasn’t easy, but we made it to the ceremony in time. Brit & John were married in the Church of the Holy name of Jesus and then we had just enough time to run through a couple classic New York locations. I thought shooting in the Exchange District in Winnipeg in the Summer is a busy challenge… well nothing compared to Central Park and Grand Central Terminal in NYC in the fall, LOL!
Oh my, check out this vintage Taxi Cab!!! It was so fun to be in NYC with a Bride & Groom driving around in that thing while New Yorker’s and tourists oogled with excitement;) After some creative portraits, we headed to the Harvard Club for toasts and dancing, and then guests sang their hearts out in Korea Town into the morning;)
Thanks so much you two and to all of your friends and family for this AMAZING experience… and congratulations!
