Fort Garry Hotel wedding with Brittany & Thomas

Fort Garry Hotel wedding days can get pretty epic, and Brittany & Thomas’ was exactly that. I’ve known them through past clients and weddings over the years, so this one felt familiar and fun from the start. They’re both doctors, and honestly, if anyone at the reception had a medical emergency, they were in the safest room in the city with all the professionals there.

My daughter Bethany came along to shoot with me, which made the day extra fun on my side. Everything happened at the HFG—getting ready, first look, photos, ceremony, and reception. No driving around, just one beautiful space all day. At one point, Brittany surprised Thomas with a Rolex as a wedding gift. He pretty much cried, and it was one of those really good, honest reactions you love to see.

The vendor lineup was stacked: cake by Jenna Rae Cakes, florals by Floral Fixx, planning by the incredible Soiree Event Planning, rentals and linens from Collective Rentals, stationery from Karta House, video by Lyndon Labayan Films, ceremony and cocktail music by Prairie Sky Quartet, and extra lighting and atmosphere by Creating a Scene and Event Light. All of it came together into a big, well‑planned, very “them” kind of day.
