Julie & Vishal

Winnipeg, Manitoba

This heartfelt Sikh and Hindu wedding Winnipeg was a vibrant, unforgettable three-day celebration with Julie & Vishal, bringing together family, tradition, and love in the most beautiful ways. Every moment was special, and it was an honour to capture their emotional journey, as these two incredible families united through meaningful rituals and lively celebrations.

Julie and Vishal originally planned their wedding for summer, but circumstances led them to move their celebration forward—quickly! Amazingly, the incredible Sasha from French Accent Design stepped in without hesitation, flawlessly coordinating the entire three-day event on such short notice. The seamless way everything came together was truly impressive, and all the exceptional vendors involved deserve so much praise for their tireless efforts and flexibility.

The celebrations began with Julie’s Mehndi night at her home. It was intimate, filled with laughter, beautiful henna designs, and anticipation of the events to come.

Day two was packed full of traditional rituals: Julie’s vibrant Maiyan ceremony, the emotional Choora, followed by a colourful and joyous Sangeet and Jago party. Meanwhile, Vishal celebrated his own lively Sangeet and Vatna ceremony, surrounded by family and friends, soaking up every happy moment.

The final day was the most eventful, starting early in the morning with getting ready moments before the serene Sikh ceremony. After the vows, we headed out for some creative photos capturing the love and excitement of the day. Then, after a quick change of attire, everyone gathered for the elegant Hindu wedding ceremony at the beautiful Clay Oven located at The Forks, downtown Winnipeg. As day transitioned into night, the venue transformed into an electric reception, filled with dancing, great food, and an incredible atmosphere that lasted long into the evening.

It was a pleasure working alongside Dean Rover Films, and as always, thanks to my amazing partner, Julie Fulsher, for helping me capture every memorable moment of this extraordinary celebration.

Special thanks and gratitude go out to all the talented vendors whose hard work and professionalism made this multi-day celebration possible:
