What a beautiful adventure this was:) Before the actual wedding trip to Mexico, I had never met Will & Lauren in person… just on Skype and texting and emails… through chatting and following each other on social media. Will & Lauren are college sweethearts, together for 15 years and run their own wedding photography studio out west… amazing work! (Will Pursell Photography) So yah, I may have been a tad nervous to capture their story, but that all brushed away when we met at the resort a couple days before the wedding.
An amazing group… so nice and kind and fun… and adventurous. I learned what Parkour-ing was, as the guys were constantly jumping over everything. I surfed too! First time, one time… i did it, there… I’m done, LOL!
The wedding day started off nice and relaxing with the girls getting ready followed by the boys surfing down at the beach. Things did get a little wet for me and my equipment, so thank goodness for backup gear and insurance;) After a first look in the forrest with a dragon and creative portraits on the beach, we headed to the ceremony. Oh yes, my second photographer for this wedding was Jorge Mercado who lives and photographs weddings in Mexico;) Holy crap was he so fun to work with. We had such a blast all working together to capture moments and create really damn cool creative portraits!
The ceremony was performed by a close family member, which always means more tears and laughs and we love it:) After that excitement, we all walked the beach to take in the Whales humping and enjoy the sunset.
And the party… LOL! So good… just scroll down to see all the crazy;)
Thanks so much Lauren & Will and to all of the family and friends who made me feel so welcome! Thank you for letting me capture your story. And thanks Jorge for helping me out, you were inspiring to work with. I had such a great trip out and I will never forget any of it!
