Spring engagement sessions in Winnipeg feel extra special when you’re with people like Alisha & DK, and theirs was unforgettable from sunset to last-call drinks.
Spring engagement with Alisha & DK in Winnipeg

Spring engagement evenings like this are why I love what I do. We started at the Manitoba Legislative Building as the light softened and wrapped around them so beautifully, and honestly, Alisha & DK are two of the most photogenic people I’ve ever had in front of my camera. Knowing that I’d be photographing their Sikh/Hindu mixed wedding in 2025 made this session feel even more meaningful—like the start of a bigger story we’d tell together.
From the Leg, we hopped into the most incredible vintage-style ride from Pedal to the Metal Car Rentals and headed to a downtown rooftop parkade. The sun dipped behind the buildings while they danced, laughed, and leaned into each other with the city skyline behind them. Watching them together, it was so easy to see how natural their connection is—no forced posing, just genuine chemistry and playful moments.
Our last stop was a quiet bar in the Exchange District, where we leaned into a moodier, sexier vibe for the rest of the evening. Think low light, close cuddles in a cozy booth, a couple of drinks, and that “date night, just us” energy. Alisha looked incredible with hair by Hair by Olga and makeup by Beauty by Vee, and the way DK looked at her all night long said everything. I’ve also been taking Bhangra lessons with DK, which made this session feel more like hanging out with friends than working—I’m loving every minute of it.
