Yeah, total clickbait in the title, but in fairness, the groom’s last name is legit “Terrible”, a common Filipino name. So to be clear, this was “The Terrible Wedding”, and not “a terrible wedding”, LOL! This day was years in the making and freaking amazing!
Inah & Jason are high school sweethearts and their 250 person wedding was orginally scheduled in August of 2020. Weddings were at 50/person capacity then… so they moved it to May of 2021… much better right??? Not in Manitoba. Unfortunately, we hit our fourth wave of Covid just before our slow, and mismanaged vaccine rollout. (what, I’m not bitter at all, LOL!).
But, Inah and Jason are in love and just wanted to get married. They did it. It was beautiful. For me, it felt like the good old days and I felt right at home. They decided to keep the timeline of their day as a normal wedding… getting ready, a first touch moment, a gorgeous 10-personal ceremony, family photos, creative portraits, a wedding party meetup, and an intimate reception. All of this was also live-streamed for all of their friends and family to join… and they did!
This day was also the best day because of their incredible team of vendors! Working video with Dean Rover Films is always a treat, thanks for the help and support buddy! Linger and her team from Ann + Co who planned and orchestrated a most perfect day, thanks again! Fort Garry Hotel, I love you and it was so nice to be back! Deb from A Perfect Ceremony, I do married them up beautifully, and as always, Cake Studio delivered the most amazing and delicious cake. Thanks so much everyone and I can’t wait to see you more as we open up this place!
Oh yeah, and I photographed Inah’s sister’s wedding back in 2015… Ivy & Chris. It’s so nice to be able to photograph many weddings within one kick-ass family!
Thanks Inah & Jason, you two are beautiful. Curtis
