Alyse & Brett’s Manitoba intimate wedding was the kind of elopement every photographer dreams of. I met them in the breathtaking Whiteshell area near Lac du Bonnet on a beautiful evening. With just two of their close friends as witnesses and their adorable dog, Nicky, by their side, the atmosphere was full of love and adventure.

We started with some portraits, capturing their love amidst the natural beauty of the area. Then, we saddled up and hiked through the forest, making our way to a spot that Alyse & Brett hold close to their hearts—an area by a rushing river that they had discovered on past hikes.

With the sound of the river flowing and the serene wilderness surrounding us, they exchanged vows in the most romantic, intimate setting possible. It was a perfect moment, and I was so honored to capture every bit of it. Nicky, their loyal fur baby, even made a cameo during the ceremony—because what’s an elopement without a dog, right?
