The Gates on Roblin

Marli & Josh

Winnipeg, Manitoba

What an amazing day photographing Marli & Josh’s rainy Jewish wedding in Winnipeg! These two came fully prepared, bringing umbrellas, rain boots, and endless smiles. Not even Manitoba rain could slow them down!

Our adventure started in the countryside, a place they adore, where we stumbled upon a picturesque old barn—the ideal rustic backdrop. Marli and her bridesmaids looked fantastic, skillfully navigating puddles while keeping hairstyles perfect (not a drop allowed!). The key to rainy wedding photography is patience, care, and plenty of laughter—exactly how we handled it.

After some gorgeous photos, we headed to The Gates on Roblin for their heartfelt Jewish traditions: first, the intimate Ketubah signing, followed by the Badeken (unveiling ceremony). These moments beautifully blend humor and tradition, especially when recalling the old story ensuring the bride and groom are truly meant for each other!

Congratulations again, Marli & Josh, and thanks for making a rainy day one to remember!

Speaking of Jewish events… I photograph many Bar-Mitzvah’s and Bat-Mitzvah’s every year… check these out and see you soon!
