I’ve photographed so many incredible wedding ceremonies over the years, but there’s something truly special about a Sri Lankan wedding. The beautiful singing, the tying of fingers, the deep cultural traditions—it’s mesmerizing to witness and even more incredible to capture through photography.
Kasun & Udeesha’s Sri Lankan wedding at the Gates on Roblin was a perfect blend of tradition and modern elegance. These two met while graduating from engineering at the University of Manitoba, so it only made sense to incorporate that into their day. Their first look and creative portraits took place right on campus, where they even ran into one of their professors!
After exploring the university grounds, we made our way to The Gates on Roblin, one of Winnipeg’s most elegant wedding venues. The ceremony was breathtaking, and the reception was a full-out celebration with dancing, incredible food, and an atmosphere filled with love.
