It’s been a year to say the least, LOL!  Intimate Wedding Story in Winnipeg… Weddings during Covid…hmmm… where do I start?  During all of this craziness, I have been developing one of those “Wedding Tips in the time of Covid” posts and it has been damn tough.  A gong-show actually.  I mean, just look at the “advice and tips” that have been communicated to us since April from our Government, the medical community here in Canada, from the rest of the world, and all of those “doctor and scientist” friends we have on Facebook.  Constantly changing… all of the time… everyday.  I feel so damn lucky to be here in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

From the beautiful and intimate weddings, engagement sessions and family sessions I have experienced since this has all started… the best advice I will offer here and now… is to be safe and cautious and open to change.  Weddings have changed.  Until we have a definite vaccine for Covid-19, they will have to be different.  

It’s been a year to say the least, LOL! Navigating weddings in the middle of a pandemic has been an unpredictable journey, but Ric & Jariet’s intimate wedding story in Winnipeg is a perfect example of love shining through the chaos.

From the beginning, these two embraced the idea of adjusting their wedding plans, knowing that safety and flexibility were key to making their day just as special. With the right team of vendors and an open mind, they created a stunning, intimate celebration that felt just as meaningful as a grand wedding.

Their ceremony was heartfelt, filled with genuine emotion, proving that weddings don’t have to be big to be unforgettable. Their closest family and friends gathered, and through careful planning, every moment was safe yet incredibly special. The couple’s first look in the city was magical, capturing their excitement before heading to their ceremony.

After they said their vows, we took the opportunity to capture some beautiful portraits in the heart of Winnipeg, celebrating their love with golden-hour light and city vibes. Though their original reception plans changed, their dinner with family and a small celebration was filled with warmth, laughter, and amazing drinks.
